If we aren’t aware of what we’re feeling, those feelings tend to make themselves known in the most awkward and embarrassing ways.
I can tell you stories 😉
Our feelings are a kind of radar for what matters to us.
When we’re surprised by what we’re feeling, we’re probably not aware of what we’re caring about right then.
Want fewer of these surprises?
Every time you switch to a new task, write down what you’re feeling. No need to be voluminous. A word or three is plenty.
Then, when you reflect on your day, review all the feelings you noted down. Group any that feel related.
Now, look through your groups.
What comes up for you as you read them?
Note these feelings down, too 😀
Continue reflecting and noting what comes up for a minute or two. Then, summarize what you’ve learned. Notice any patterns? Surprised by anything? Aware of anything you weren’t before?
Let me know in the comments what you discover!
